Your GP surgery is working with Trafford Local Care Organisation to make sure more people in our community spot cancer early, when it is easiest to treat.
We are looking for roughly 5 patients per surgery to form a local Cancer Awareness Group.
What will I be doing?
- September 2026: Attend a fun, informal Trafford-wide morning workshop to meet other patients and learn simple messaging.
- Autumn onwards: Help share basic cancer symptom and screening awareness across your personal, community, or social networks.
- Be a Voice: Tell us what stops local people from going to the doctor or returning screening kits so we can fix it together.
Who can join?
Anyone registered with a Trafford GP practice! We particularly welcome young adults, men, representatives from minority ethnic backgrounds, and people who have never volunteered before.
