Vaccinations

Routine and travel vaccinations for all ages are available during surgery times by appointment with our nurses.

We run a flu jab clinic in late October. Ask at reception for further information.

Meningitis B

Meningitis B was added to the standard schedule of baby immunisations on 1 September 2015, for all babies born 1 July 2015 onwards.  The 3 doses will be given at 2, 4 and 12/13 months of age, along with the other immunisations your baby is due.  As it is recommended that your baby has 3 doses of Paracetamol suspension at 6 hourly intervals following the immunisation, please ensure that you have an adequate supply of this at home, in advance.  More information about Meningitis B vaccination programme can be found here.

Meningitis ACWY

Young teenagers, sixth formers and ‘fresher’ students going to university for the first time are advised to have a vaccination to prevent Meningitis W disease.  School age children will be offered this at School.  If you are going to University for the first time or are under the age of 25 and want to have this vaccination, please contact the surgery to make an appointment with one of our Practice Nurses.  More information on this vaccination is available here.
